In
1974 Finnish people with an interest in Maltese dogs founded
their own association - the Maltese Club of Finland.
The number of founding members was 84. The club works for
the benefit of the Maltese dog with the purpose to maintain
this adorable breed healthy, beautiful and viable despite
its small number in Finland. The Maltese Club of Finland
helps its members in all possible Maltese-related matters
like dog training, breeding, grooming, dog show questions
etc. The club also has a breeding
committee, which helps owners find their dogs suitable
mates. Through our puppy
guidance many find themselves a Maltese dog brought
up by a reliable breeder. The club publishes a magazine
named Maltankoira
- Bichon Maltais, which appears four times a year.

The
Maltese Club of Finland is a member club of the
Finnish Toy Dog Association. The Maltese Club of Finland
has often hosted its own special show together with the
Finnish Toy Dog Association.
